Curcumin is also a potent antioxidant, enabling it to protect healthy cells from free radical damages that can lead to various cancers, including prostate, breast, skin, colon, stomach and liver cancers. It’s antioxidant activity can also help your liver effectively detoxify harmful substances we come into contact with in our environment everyday. Lastly, the antioxidant potential of Curcumin can assist in preventing neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimers, Parkinson’s disease and even multiple sclerosis. We should all be trying to get more turmeric into our diets!
